Yesterday the "relevant environment" of the Digizity project was presented: a limited and 100% secure research infrastructure within the framework of the strategic project for the recovery and economic transformation (PERTE) of the Electric and Connected Vehicle. This test environment will be carried out on line 40 of Zaragoza public transport and began to be operational since yesterday in its first stage, which will allow testing and integrating all the systems developed in the project.

The companies Irizar, Jema, Telnet and Nextium by Idneo, the technology centers Itainnova, from Aragón, CTAG, from Galicia, and Tecnalia, from the Basque Country, and the consulting firm specialized in public management, Novadays.

Hispacold is involved in this ambitious industrial research project, contributing its high technology in air conditioning systems, with the aim of decarbonizing, digitizing and automating urban transport with zero-emission buses.

Marisol González, responsible for Product Engineering at Hispacold, was present at the presentation on behalf of the company.

The DIGIZITY project has been funded by the European Union - NextGenerationEU through the call for the year 2021 'Sustainable Automotive Technology Program', within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan promoted by the Center for Technological and Industrial Development (CDTI). The total budget is more than 9 million euros, a public aid of 5.4 million and a duration until December 31, 2023.
