Since its beginnings Hispacold has always shown its commitment to protecting the environment and implementing policies to reduce global warming.
In 2006 Hispacold R&D, in line with its innovative production development policy and ahead of regulatory changes, began working on the research, development and use of alternative coolants with lower global warming potential (GWP), like CO2, HFO coolants and combined HFOs.
In 2006, Hispacold started using CO2 in its HVAC systems, long before other sector companies followed suit.
In 2010, we were also pioneers in testing HVAC systems with the HFO-1234yf coolant.
When the European Directive F-GAS REGULATION No. 517/2014 was enacted in 2014, Hispacold was already working with coolants with GWP<150, like R-744 (carbon dioxide) and HFO-1234yf.
We are currently testing several systems that operate with the R-513a coolant with a GWP of 631.
Ultimately, we are ready to face any new change of course in policies to reduce global warming.
